SAWFHA option 1:
Accreditation Only
- The applicant completes the registration process, and makes payment
- Upon receipt of payment confirmation, SAFWHA send an electronic link to the relevant employer’s representative i.e. the Human Resources or Safety Health and Environment departments or both
- This link will provide access to the SAFWHA accreditation page
- After completion of the accreditation questionnaire the employer will be requested to submit the information via a submit button
- Please note upon submitting the information the employer acknowledge the:
- questionnaire is accurately completed
- information is binding
- information will be stored on a database for future use
- it remains the responsibility of the employer to ensure all employees
home based office environments follows the compliance process
- An accreditation certificate will be issued in the name of the organisation
The accreditation is valid for one year (from date of issue)
SAWFHA option 2:
Section A - SAWFHA Accreditation
Section B - HBW Application
Section A:
- The applicant completes the registration process, and makes payment

- This link will provide access to the SAFWHA accreditation page
- After completion of the accreditation questionnaire the employer will be requested to submit the information via a submit button
- Please note upon submitting the information the employer acknowledge the:
- questionnaire is accurately completed
- information is binding
- information will be stored on a database for future use
- it remains the responsibility of the employer to ensure all employees
home based office environments follows the compliance process

- An electronic link will be sent to the company’s representative to gain access to the HBW software application system
- The employer use the dashboard on the HBW software application system, and add employees with specific email addresses, that must complete the assessment
- The HBW system will generate a unique user name and password by for each employee, linked to the employees email address
- The HBW software application system will automatically email the link with a unique system generated user name and password, to every employee working in a home based / remote office environment
- Employee’s to use the link to do the assessments of their individual homes based office environments
- The employee complete the assessment on the HBW software application system
- When the employee completes and submit the assessment, the employee acknowledge that all information is true, correct and binding
- When the employee submits the assessment the relevant employer’s representative(s) i.e. the Human Resources or Safety Health and Environment departments or both, will receive the assessment via email
- The HBW software application system will calculate a compliance score, based on a “reasonable practicable compliance” for every assessment
- The potential hazards / risks in the home based / remote office environment will be clearly highlighted and identified
- The employer’s representative has to on behalf of the organisation, mitigate / remedy and or remove the potential hazards and risks
- Once resolved, the employee complete the assessment again (using the same user name and password) and resubmit the assessment
- By re-submitting the assessment the employee acknowledges the potential hazards has been mitigated / remedied and or resolved.
- When the employee completes and submit the assessment, the employee acknowledge that all information is true, correct and binding
- Upon submitting the information (by the employee )on the HBW system, the relevant employer’s representative(s) i.e. the Human Resources or Safety Health and Environment departments or both, will receive the assessment via email
- The assessment will remain on the HBW software application database should it be required to:
- Review the home based / remote office environment
- Be used in a potential injury on duty claim, etc.
- Be used as a basis for assessment of the employees work
performance
- The HBW software application will log all changes off all home based remote office environment assessments
SAWFHA Option 3:
HBW Application only
